Momo Athay is now a freshman at Brigham Young University.  She is Majoring in Animal Sciences and Flute.  Last year Momo Athay was 2nd chair in the Wind Ensemble at Rancho Bernardo High School as well as being one of the bands flute section leaders.  Momo has a lot of qualities that make her a stand-out.  She is a terrific student always above average and striving for more.  She is never satisfied.  Momo's determination is evident in her excellence as a musician and is also apparent in her academic achievements.  Momo is also good-hearted, kind and generous and a wonderful person and friend to all those around her.    She is very supportive of her fellow student flutists and really serves as a terrific example for all students of the way a talented student should comport themselves; humbly and kindly and always approaching others with a generous heart.

She is a great lover of all animals.  She takes riding lessons and her grandmother has recently purchased a horse for her which she loves with all her heart.
