Keep practicing your left hand in the shape of a hanger.  Practice plucking first then with the bow.  For now, you can glance down occasionally to check the position of your bow, just try to avoid doing it all the time.

Violin Basics

We are going to start with some basic note reading videos and exercises.

Try this exercise!
Violin: Note ID for the D String
Viola: Note ID for the D String viola
Cello: Note ID for the D String Cello

This will help you learn to read the first 5 notes on the violin.  We will be first focusing on the D string.  The first 5 notes are D,E,F#,G, A
The fingerings for these notes are: 
D=open
E=1
F#=2
G=3
A=4
