Summer Flute Camp

Save the dates! July 25th- July 30th 2011.
9am-4pm daily with a culminating concert on the 30th.

COST: $150 Members, $170 for non-members (includes membership 2011-2012)

What will I be learning?

 
Experienced teachers from the San Diego community will be collaborating together to bring you a rich and diverse learning experience.   Every morning  the day will start with a different teacher sharing their knowledge and experience about effective warm-ups, posture, tone production and technique development. During the day the following classes will be offered: sight-reading, “How to Audition Effectively” ,  Small Ensemble coaching ,  Large Flute Ensemble, Piccolo masterclasses, , Vocal Techniques for the instrumentalist, Preparing for All-State (JHS and HS), Jazz Flute.

How will my day be structured?

Typical Day – Student Schedules Vary by level and Interest: Monday-Friday 9am-4pm

9-10 am Morning Warm-up (focus on tone, posture, technique and embouchure)

10-11 am Daily Sight Reading

11-12 Large group ensemble class (3 levels)

12-12:45 Catered Lunch by a variety of vendors

12:45 -2 How to Audition or Jazz Masterclass

2-3 All-State and Individual solos masterclass (2 levels) or Piccolo masterclass or Vocal Techniques for Instrumentalists

3-4 Small Ensemble coaching/practice with/and Low Flute Class

Culminating Concert

Culminating Concert on Saturday July 31st at the SDFG Members Recital: 2pm with intermission
